Information Technology Club

The Computer Programs Department brings to you a new Student Club. The purpose of the club is to connect the students from VIU to the outside world, and the job market.
This will provide an opportunity for our students to better and further understand the potential and future of computer science and information technology in different businesses.
The club will officially commence its functions and duties in the fall of 2008.

Duties:

• Research the market, and provide future forecasts in computer science and information technology
• Help students understand the current trends in the market
• Provide students with the opportunity to get a better understanding of their careers
• Engage student, faculty, and staff in non-academic IT related activities, to provide a chance of socializing
• A monthly newsletter to the VIU student community
• Organize and arrange seminars and invite professionals from the industry
