TOPIC: SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING AS IT PERTAINS TO ANY GROWING BUSINESS
SPEAKER: Andrew Bates, NETWORK SOLUTION

Andrew was born in Virginia and attended UVa in Charlottesville. He worked as a student technical intern with others between UVa and VA Tech in the ‘90’s. Microsoft offered the leader of this group seed money to form Lore Internet Systems in ‘96, where Andrew worked first as a system engineer, then a presales engineer, and became Director of Sales in ’03. Lore became one of the leading Cisco and Microsoft partners in the mid Atlantic region, and recently sold to venture capital in the fall of last year. Now Andrew is the senior outside sales consultant for Network Solutions’ business customers in the greater DC area

Kuppusami Natesan, CEA, CISSP, PMP

Mr. Natesan has over 15 years of experience in the Information Technology Consulting and Software Industries. He has been with Novell over 11 years and recently has been with Novell Identity and Security Business Unit as a Chief Architect. At Novell, he has been primarily focused on helping customers across public and private sector industries to develop strategy and implement Identity and Security solutions.

Kuppusami holds a B.S. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Bharathiar University and is a Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

SPEAKER: Freddy Feliz Director, Data Architecture Exmplar  Inc.

As a native of Santo Domingo, Freddy Feliz earned a Bachelor in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from INTEC University in the Dominican Republic. Moving to the United States in 1999, he attended the City College of New York and the Graduate Center, where he earned a Masters degree in Computer Science.

In his current position as Director of Data Architecture with Northern Virginia based Exmplar, e-marketing company, Mr. Feliz is responsible for supervising all web personalization implementations, software architecture for new web development initiatives, as well as for designing integration requirements for client’s projects. In addition, he is presently co-managing an off-shore development group to redesign the firm’s high-end technology systems, employing a more robust architecture.

Prior to joining Exmplar in 2002, Mr. Feliz was Programming Manager and Senior Software Engineer at WebMiner/Lumina Americas in New York City. While there he was responsible for leading all the web application development efforts. During a one year time span he also was a key team member tasked with transferring all knowledge about the WebMiner system, which was developed in Brazil, to the company’s New York City office.

Dr. Ocal has done his post doctorate in Harvard University, International Research Institute. He taught number of courses on Web Technologies, Visual Design and Programming at George Mason University , Northern Virginia Community College and Virginia International University .  He has been author of several books, appeared on TV programs. Dr. Ocal published so many articles in well-known computer magazines such as Byte, PC World, PC Life, NetLife
